I am a newbie to Sharepoint. Here is the problem I have designed a module for my company site(intranet/internal company site). In this module Customer Care Executive records complaint calls from companies end users. During the call they record the email
id of the user. These users can be anybody and they are not part of our Company or licensed users of sharepoint.
Once this call is completed, I want a workflow to fire which will automatically send an email to the user that the company is looking into their complaint and will get back to them within 48 hours.
I read somewhere that the workflows from internal sites can only send emails to the registered users of that Sharepoint implementation. Is it correct?
What is the best approach to solve this problem on SharePoint 2013 online.
