I have a requirement to migrate 300GB of documents from file shares to sharepoint 2013 online (E3) plan. I am aware of the 5000 item limit in document libraries but is this just on the folder/view? For example, can the document library have 10000 documents in total split across two folders with 5000 documents in each or will this exceed the limit and make functions like changing document library/folder permissions unavailable?
