I just purchased Microsoft Sharepoint Subscription Peckage 2. My requirement was to publish an access database so that the other colleagues in the company could access the database directly from their desktops and there would be no need to exchange/update files in Skydrives or Network Shares.
Till now i have published the database successfully, But all I can do is to go to "Company Team Sites > Site Contents > Subsites > Database" and then i am presented with the page where i can see objects of my database. But i can not open the tables, forms, queries, or reports in the browser. I can only click on the drop down menu against database object and that menu has only one option "Modify <object name>". And if i click on that, it downloads an ACCDW file which opens in the access client on my computer.
Please help me out here. All i want is that every user is able to view/modify the database in the browser just like Microsoft Access Application.
OR
At least a standard way to share the database with other users. (Do i have to send them the database file after i have published it to sharepoint?)
