We are buildingIntranet in SharePoint 2013 online using Office 365 E3 subscription. Now,
- They have some requirements to build custom action (External to O365) which triggers based on some events took place in O365 (SharePoint). For this Azure provides “Azure Bus Services” which understands the event message and traverse it from O365 to Azure hosted event handler components to execute custom action. If we choose to deploy custom components onAWS hosted IIS (Infrastructure) then worry is if there is any similar “message bus service” exist with AWS and if O365 would communicate with that bus service provided by AWS. (In terms of protocols used in such message transfers).
- Customer is also having some need for running somescheduled jobs (which run a .exe, .PS, .bat files) on cloud and performs some daily activity (data transactions). Azure provides some option called “Azure Web Jobs” which is deployed as a simple web site but works as a job. So there is no need to buy storage on Cloud for deploying such jobs. In simple terms they provide a cloud scheduler which .exe uploaded by developers and execute custom action. Do AWS has any such capability to provide such scheduler on cloud to run custom exe’s.
We are looking for recommendation from you based on your customer’s experience where anyone noticed about scenario: O365 subscription is used for SharePoint and also using AWS hosting for custom Component (Some website/scheduler jobs/event receiver) deployment which are interacting with O365 in any way. (Need a real implementation of such sort before committing anything in such scenario).
