We are soon going to be migrating from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online and have three SQL Server instances onsite where we need to access the data. I have read and been told that this is not possible. I read this doing research on getting this error - "Unable to render the data. If the problem persists, contact your web server administrator." I am sure I have the external list, BCS connection, Secure Store connection all set up properly and with the correct credentials, but now I find myself here.
Can someone please let me know if it is possible to interact with onsite SQL data tables and how.
