We have a workflow 2010 generated with Visio 2013 and Sharepoint Designer 2010 published to Sharepoint online. Visualization is switched on and in generall it works - the workflow is displayed by Visio Graphic Services. However the actual status of completet steps, marked by the green check marks is missing. This is how it looks like even through the workflow finished:
