We have begun having clients asking for us to move their file server environments to sharepoint. All of our customers are on Office 365 and most have relatively small amounts of data (10 gb or so). The conundrum that I am running into, is whether or not to sync these document libraries to every users machine or whether to use Web DAV and map them as a network location/network drive.
For the environment in question, there are 4 Document libraries totaling 10,000 files (less than 3,000 per library so the 5000 file limit should not be an issue). But the data is about 20 GB, there are 20 some workstations in the environment and maybe 5 laptops/surface type devices.
I dont particularly want to have every single computer in my network syncing files all the time, nor do I want someone who may be gone for a week to have a huge number of files to sync when they turn their computer on upon return. But I have seen people who seem to be struggling with token authentication when mapping the libraries within Windows Explorer.
Any thoughts or good reads that anyone can point me to would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance for any help
