Our company is currently implementing Office 365 (migrating from Lotus Notes to Exchange). As part of O365, we are also implementing Sharepoint Online.
In one of our testing sites, I have setup a task list on which I run the "collect feedback" workflow. I use this workflow to assign one task to a large list of users. In this way, I can track who is and isn't completing the task by checking the workflow status. In addition, each user can submit comments when they mark their workflow task as complete. This is where I'm having a problem.
I have connected this Sharepoint list to my local Outlook client as it's easier and quicker for viewing purposes than actually going out to the Sharepoint site and viewing the workflow status. It is here, in the local Outlook client, that I am opening up
each task assigned to each user then viewing what (if any) comments they have submitted for that particular task.
The problem is that since there are around 50 users (and we're up to 35 tasks so far) that's an insanely tedious process to open up each individual task submission to see what comments were submitted.
Is there any way to view all of the comments submitted on these workflow tasks in place at one time rather than having to manually open each submission? Maybe by adding a column in Outlook or Sharepoint somewhere that just displays the comments?
As I said at the beginning, we're using Sharepoint online so we don't have the full functionality of straight up Sharepoint 2016 hosted locally...perhaps that's my problem and there's no way to get around it?? IDK
Any ideas on how to more easily see what comments have been submitted?
