I have an InfoPath 2013 form which is published as a Content Type to my SharePoint 2010 intranet. The form Template is saved to another library on the same site collection as the content type. I have published this form dozens of times, successfully, and it usually takes me about 5 minutes anytime I need to make some minor change.
Now, when I try to publish, I get a credentials dialog that pops up asking me for my user name and password. Eventually this fails out, leaving me with a poor dialog that only shows 5 letters, vertically, of the whole message. Event Viewer shows me the following error message:
InfoPathEditorInfoPath cannot save the following form: http://intranet/HRForms/FloatingHolidayRequestForm.xsnAccessis denied.

I made no other changes to the form beyond removing some controls (the elements behind the scene are still there) and text. As far as I know, no other changes have been made to the web server or network. My PC is running Windows 10, now, and it used to be Windows 7 or 8 last time I had to update one of these forms.
Publishing a different form as a file and uploading to the Forms repository of a different (SP 2013) central administration site was successful.
I have tried rebooting the SharePoint farm servers, rebooting my own machine, getting my IE group policy changed, changing my login credentials within InfoPath iteself, running as administrator, and none of it has worked. I even checked out the template file but that didn't seem to do me any good, either.
