We're testing SharePoint Online and the OneDrive client with SharePoint Online as a possible replacement to Dropbox for a number of our business processes and encountered performance degradation with the Mac OneDrive client. We've tested on multiple Macs and PCs with wired connections. We are seeing results like this:
8.5 GB file:
PC = 3 minutes and change | Mac = 4 hours
1 GB file:
PC = 2 seconds or so | Mac = A few minutes
Any ideas why the Mac version of the OneDrive client is substantially slower? I checked the preferences and there wasn't any limitations set on bandwidth. If we just uploaded the same files directly to the website using drag/drop, PC and Mac performed similarly. So it appears to be an issue with the OneDrive Client for the Mac.
