I enabled publishing feature in sharepoint online site. This added unwanted "Scheduling End Date" and "Scheduling Start Date" columns to Shared Documents library of a sharepoint online site. We are using classic team site.
I got rid of both of those column from Document library as per this : https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/603e0a25-b3f7-4bd2-9451-faa5be4cb929/how-to-delete-this-column-quotscheduling-end-date-is-a-site-column-created-by-the-publishing?forum=sharepointadmin
- I have configured Allow management of content type is selected in advanced settings of library
- I have also changed Change new button order and default content type and deselected default Document Content type and selected custom content type as my default and to be available on new button. See below
- You could clearly see that I have deselected "Document" content type

However I noticed strange behavior when uploading excel document. when I upload excel document it brings up content type drop down and displays "Document" as default selected content type even though I have selected not to display "document" content type on new button see above. See below strange behavior. Is this a bug in sharepoint online ?
