Having a very annoying issue that I can't seem to get past - we have a site that exists at the following address:
https://mainsitename.sharepoint.com/Sites/SiteInQuestion
Problem is that /Sites/ actually does not appear to exist; simply navigating to https://mainsitename.sharepoint.com/Sites will yield a page does not exist error. If I look in the site contents section of https://mainsitename.sharepoint.com, the /Sites/ subsite does not appear.
This poses a significant issue for me as I need to re-locate "SiteInQuestion" to a different subsite, but because I can't view the site contents and subsites of "/Sites" because it doesn't exist, I can't move the site.
Something else worth noting is that I am a site collection admin - I should have near-global access to all sites and content, and yet, the team running "SiteInQuestion" had to assign me access in order for me to view the site (otherwise I got a page telling me I had to ask for permission to access the site). I had our sysadmin try the global 365 admin account and it got rejected as well.
To sum it up:
-> How is this site disconnected from our sites like this?
-> Why can none of the admin accounts access the site unless its delegated by the site owners when normally we are above-and-beyond the scope of site permission settings?
-> How can I move this site without resorting to re-creating the entire site painstakingly and manually moving ALL of the content to said new site?
