I know that the "News feed"/Microblog is a "Site feed" web part, "Site feed" web part is available in Team site and Project site, and I need to activate the site feature "Site Feed", then you should be able to insert this web part from "Social Collaboration" web part category in team site home page.
But I cannot find this option to activate for our companies main sites feature list.
My team site has this kind of address: https://<mycompanyname>.sharepoint.com/ because this is the main site. It was created with the team site template.
I go to (Site Settings -> Site Features) and look for Site Feed:Image may be NSFW.

But it isn’t there. So I understand why I did not find it to insert as web part from "Social Collaboration" web part category
I have also tried to activate this feature from Powershell since the above is missing. But:
Exception calling "ExecuteQuery" with "0" argument(s): "Feature '15a572c6-e545-4d32-897a-bab6
f5846e18' is Web-scoped, and cannot be added to the Site."
(The guid is the guid for Site Feed Feature we want to activate)
I was funny enough able to activate for out mainsite the MySiteLayouts (6928B0E5-5707-46a1-AE16-D6E52522D52B). This will add a Newsfeed to add as web part from "Social Collaboration" web part category. But this is the personal Newsfeed – the one form <mycompany-my> site , but that is not realy the sitefeed we would like to add to our main site.
We really want this microfeed feature on our main site. But I am at lost what to do now! Please help. Adding the newsfeed from MySiteLayouts is only the second best option.
