I have some users who are having issues with adding/updating information in their SharePoint calendars while using outlook. The syncing process goes smoothly and they can view the content in Outlook but the option to add a new appointment stays grayed out.
When you try connecting a calendar to outlook the "Connect this SharePoint Calendar to Outlook?" dialog box, permissions are shown as READ regardless of actual permission on the SharePoint site collection and calendar. The same users are able to update the calendar via the browser.
We have Office 365 products, SharePoint Online Enterprise (2013), Outlook 2013.
Is there anyone out there who can help?
