We've run a Testing Pilot with 40 users on SPO 2013 for the last few months. And here is the outcome of our pilot. I think if MS would address these SPO would be even better and more powerful an option. We ask you all to consider if an when you make any suggestions to Microsoft on o365 here:
- Fix an issue where profile pictures sometimes do not resolve - opened a ticket with MS and it's a known bug.
- A recycle bin that covers files and entries that were modified TODAY (an end of day snapshot of any created or modified entries). Currently only coveres deleted items. I understand this is why we have version control, but that has to be set and it seeme very wasteful use of space.
- A 60 Day Restore option (vs 14 days). Something we can do ourselves.
- An option to remove and change formating on that SPO Page Name link at the top of pages. Why would a page need a link to itself.
- An option set the link of the banner image and ineherit it to all subsites. Would be nice to set the image to go to root site home for all subsitges.
- Bring back an option for BreadCrumb navigation. Something we can turn on and off accross the page.
- View and Edit "Only Your Own Files" security setting for Document libriaries. This is constantly requested and is now even more limited in SP 2013. Constantly comes up and we have no way to deliver this. Huge return on having this.
- A new security setting for Proxy that enables one user to perform document and list operationsn on belhalf of another user. Is set by person at the site, list or library level. This is a real world functionality that we constantly run into and have to work around with security and it never ends up right anyways. Huge return on this.
