Export Data table to Excel

Hi,

We are working on a web part where we have to export data table or gridview to excel. We are getting error in exporting to excel. httpcontext.response.write and httpcontext.response.end is not working on SharePoint online.

Can anybody let us know how can we achieve the above?.

We have to just export to excel from data table or gridview.

An immediate help will be appreciated.
