Hi Forum,
Assume that I have SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise edition hosted in my data center. Also, Assume that I have Office 365 subscription and I have SharePoint Online.
There has been LOTs of talk about hybrid scenarios. So, My question is: Can I have the following:
1) My On-Premise SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise edition running, BUT, Without Search service application.
2) Office 365 SharePoint Online with Search service application and Search center.
3) A hybrid configuration, Where SharePoint Online crawls and idex my On-Premise SharePoint.
Is that possible? Any guidance please?
In other words, What I hope for is to completely avoid creating and running the Search service application on my On-Premise SharePoint farm, So, Will the SharePoint Online Search service be enough to crawl and index the two environments?
Please, Share your creative inputs !
