Copying and Pasting from Excel to a Sharepoint Contact List Created Duplicated Records

Hi

I am trying to manually copy the organization's contact list in outlook to a SharePoint contact list. <o:p></o:p>

Initially I thought about using the import spreads hit App, But it can only import excel into a regular list and not a contact list. I need the contact list format so that synchronization with outlook will be possible. 

so I am taking a batch from excel and manually copying it into the SharePoint contact list- however, I keep getting duplicates in my SharePoint list. Did anyone experience such behavior? 

If Im forced to deal with the duplicates, what would be the best way to remove duplicated from my SharePoint contact list. My initial excel file does not include duplicated. this is a byproduct of the copy-past action<o:p></o:p>
