In SharePoint 2013 on premise I have the ability to control the way the user names are imported into my user profile store. In the User Properties of the UPA I can map "Name" to the attribute "cn" instead of the default"displayName" attribute. This would then show the user name as example "John Doe" instead of "Doe, John".
In SharePoint online however I am wondering how you do this? I can't seem to find a way to control that.
